With more than 25 years of experience in golf course design and clubhouse architecture, Brian Curtis has led a wide range of golf-centric projects. His work with Forrest Richardson has included large-scale golf master plans, community design and hospitality projects. His work in architectural design has included golf clubhouses, training academies, entertainment range structures, simulators and maintenance facility design. He has worked throughout the United States, Eastern Europe, Mexico, China and Central America.
Brian earned both his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design and Master of Architecture degrees from Arizona State University. He further specialized in golf course architecture through advanced studies in golf course design at Harvard University.
Over the course of his career, Brian has worked across multiple disciplines, including architecture, community planning, landscape architecture, construction, and golf clubhouse design. His experience encompasses every phase of project delivery—from initial planning and conceptual design through construction documentation, project management, and final construction oversight.
With Forrest Richardson Golf Course Architects, Brian has played an integral role in golf course master planning, conceptual design, construction documentation and client coordination. His collaborative approach and technical expertise have contributed to the successful execution of numerous golf and hospitality projects.
Known for his hands-on leadership style, Brian is committed to guiding projects from concept to completion while maintaining design integrity, schedule efficiency, and budget discipline. His work reflects a dedication to thoughtful design, precision, and delivering exceptional results tailored to each client’s vision.
Brian is an acclaimed author of three influential golf industry books, including The Golf Template, Lido Loop – The Alister MacKenzie Theory, and The Golf Clubhouse and Supporting Facilities, exploring golf course architecture, strategy, and the evolution of modern golf facilities.
